Gizmondo Maps Upgrade Path in Ford Motor Company Ford Motor Company Dealers to Stock Gizmondo and Gizmondo Navigator (November 07, 2005)

Gizmondo Europe Ltd subsidiaries of Jacksonville, Florida-based Tiger Telematics Inc (OTC:TGTL) today announced a deal to supply Ford Motor Company Ltd with the new Gizmondo Navigator 2006 satellite navigation package.

The complete turn-by-turn, GPS-enabled satellite navigation package includes everything today's drivers could wish for; clear and easy to use instructions, voice directions, re-routing around jams, a choice of 2D or 3D mapping on the Gizmondo's razor-sharp 2.8" TFT screen, and an extensive feature set powered by CoPilot.

As well as Gizmondo Navigator 2006 (UK Edition) software, car cradle and charger, the package also includes a Smart ADDs-enabled Gizmondo, which can play next-generation handheld games, send and receive picture and text messages, play MP3 music and MPEG4 movies, take digital photos, and can provide a host of location-based services via the powerful built in GPS hardware.



The special Gizmondo Navigator 2006 package can be ordered from Ford dealerships across the UK for GBP 244.95 from 31st October. Gizmondo is powered by Microsoft Windows CE advanced real-time operating system, boasting a 2.8-inch TFT colour screen with a Samsung ARM9 400Mhz processor and incorporates the GoForce 3D 4500 NVIDIA graphics accelerator. It provides cutting-edge gaming, multimedia messaging, an MP3 music player, Mpeg4 movie playing capability, a digital camera and a GPRS network link to allow wide-area network gaming. Additionally, it contains a GPS chip for location-based services, is equipped with Bluetooth for use in multi-player gaming and accepts SD and MMC card accessories.
